Flexi-Bar Yoga™  Workshop
with Jutta Henrice, LMP, RYT200

TUES JUNE 27th 6-7:30p  $18
Only a few spaces remaining!

The vibration techniques of the Flexi-Bar™, a fiberglass bar with weighted ends have proven to activate and to strengthen the smaller deep-lying muscles and to unravel tensions in the connective tissue fabric. The Flexi-Bar™ has been awarded the seal of approval of the Campaign for Healthier Backs, the AGR quality cachet (Aktion Gesunder Rücken, Germany).

This workshop is aimed at participants who wish to understand the benefits of the vibrations created by the swinging motion of the Flexi-Bar™ and to sense the physical response deep inside the body. Images of the deep-lying muscles and of the network of connective tissue will serve as illustrative material.

After warming-up with easy mobilization of the spine, the shoulder and the pelvis, we will swing this oscillation bar at low amplitudes stimulating the connective tissues and entire chains of deep-lying muscles while gently flowing through basic yoga poses.

Type your parDr. Dana DePietro and Dr. Jeff Pearson, both archaeologists and wine professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area, are excited to offer a unique guided tasting tour and presentation on the history of wine in the ancient world, tracing the story of vitis vinifera from the world's first known winery, discovered in a cave in Armenia, to the Romans' celebrated "Opimian vintage" of 121 BC. The presentation will feature nine exciting and surprising wines from around the Mediterranean, including Cremisan "Star of Bethlehem" from Israel/Palestine, COS "Pithos Bianco" from Sicily, Porto Carras "Limneon" from Greece, and the legendary Chateau Musar "Hochar Père et Fils" from Lebanon. The wines will be accompanied by regionally inspired small plate food pairings.agraph here.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the Society for Humanitarian Archaeological Research and Exploration (S.H.A.R.E.), a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that uses archaeology as a tool to promote peace and dialogue in Israel/Palestine. S.H.A.R.E. is currently fundraising for a two-week conservation and dialogue project in July 2017 for Arab and Jewish youth in the seaside town of Jisr az-Zarqa. This project builds upon five years of successful S.H.A.R.E. programming and will provide an opportunity for these young people to engage with the past, the present, and one another on their own terms.
